Starting a Regional Club

Interested in Starting a Club?

1. Become a Regional Coordinator
Contact Keri Russell at 702-895-2399 to become the regional coordinator for your new club. You'll be sent a list of alumni in your area. As coordinator, you will be the main contact for this new group.

2. Form a Committee
The best way to get other UNLV alumni involved is to invite alums to attend a planning meeting or to hold a kickoff event that will draw potential volunteers. Generally, clubs with fewer than 1,000 area alums can expect to organize up to two events annually, and larger clubs will have three or more events each year.

3. Plan an Event
Use your creativity and host an event that you think alumni in your area will find appealing. See the ideas for some hints.

No area is too small to support a club! It is possible to have successful events in areas with fewer than 200 alumni, where the regional coordinator might be one of the few involved. The regional coordinator might plan one event a year; it is not even necessary to form a committee. Every club that is created gives more and more alumni the opportunity to build lifelong relationships with each other and with UNLV.
