The moment you enrolled at UNLV you became part of an elite community as an "Alumni in Training." Each course you take here, each experience you have, strengthens your reference point as a member of our academic and social environment — one is supported by a network that is more than 70,000 graduates strong. There are some unique opportunities for you to take advantage of, and involvement in the UNLV Student Alumni Association (SAA) is one of the most strategic ways for you to start building a bridge from campus life to the professional world.
Overview
Founded in 1991, SAA exists to help students get involved in their university in a meaningful way. It provides a link to traditions by combining opportunities for socialization, involvement in special events, and leadership development through a specialized curriculum for organization officers. Perhaps most importantly, SAA puts you in direct contact with influential and connected UNLV graduates who provide pointers on how to apply what you are learning in the classroom to the demanding needs of your future employers.
The SAA is open to all students at all levels with $15 annual membership dues. In addition to a variety of beneficial programs and events, you also automatically join your college chapter to connect with more alumni in your field of study. SAA functions as a bridge to the UNLV Alumni Association, an organization that represents the interests of more than 80,000 UNLV graduates.
